Shoulder surgery
Understanding the lesions affecting the shoulder joint and the treatment options that can be brought to them have made enormous progress over the past 15 years, thanks to imaging means such as MRI and arthrography, and development of new arthroscopic surgery techniques.
Arthroscopy for shoulder surgery
Arthroscopy allows the introduction of a miniaturized optical system in the shoulder joint to detect lesions that were not previously visible on conventional examinations.
On the other hand, this technique makes it possible to repair these various lesions, whether it is a rupture of the tendons of the rotator cuff, a conflict of the acromion bone with the tendons of the rotator cuff (subacromial conflict), or lesions of instability of the shoulder, with much simpler operative suites and an improved quality of result due to the degree of precision of the repairs which can thus be carried out.
Sports surgery
The experience of taking care of athletes, the requirement related to high level sport, requiring a rapid resumption of activities with a quality of optimal result, allowed me to better develop these surgical techniques, which I try to benefit all of my patients.
